Grieta Aventura offers you a scenic and picturesque route in the moonlight, trekking up the Sierra de la Serrella starting from Benasau, in the province in Alicante. The route follows a forest path the whole time, gaining altitude slowly but surely, ascending towards the Recingle Alt, one of the most spectacular viewpoint areas in the Alicante province…reaching an altitude of 1.359 metres. Along with the Penya Creus, the Pla de la Casa and the  Mallà del Llop , these are the four highest areas of the Sierra de la Serrella, all of them above 1.300 metres.

Once at the top, and moonlight permitting, the views are absolutely spectacular. We can see the shadowy silhouettes of the  Sierra de Aitana, and very close to us is the  Sierra de Bernia, which blends into the Mediterranean on the horizon. The Sierra of Almudaina and the Vall de Seta (Mushroom Valley). Looking north,  Montcabrer(Goat-pastor Mount)  y Benicadell stand out in their presence.”  Even more out on the horizon, we can see the shadowy silhouette of the Menejador, behind which hides the Carrascar de la Font Roja.We can also spot the  Serra dels Plans, the Cabeçó d’Or, the Maigmó, the Penya Migjorn, the Cabo de la Huerta… all illuminated by the stars and moonlight.

To compensate the trip, we shall enjoy all these views while picnicking and relaxing under a sea of stars.
